I remember that happening on a wand a long time ago now that you mention it.the valve is "OK" and will last as long as any before needing rebuild
It's just heavy to trigger open
because of that ^^ it's the trigger lever that's weak .
It will bend eventually and won't open valve fully
there is/was a solid straight lever that won't bend
