What is the most effective way to keep in contact with past clients?

Although it might be time consuming, calling them is effective.

After you complete the job, ask them when they would like their carpets cleaned again. 3 or 6 or 9 or 12 months time.

Put it in your diary. Google Calendar is excellent

And call them during the day between jobs.

The strike rate is much higher than postcards. Still do the postcards though

It would be nice to ask them when you finish cleaning, "how can I contact you in the future to schedule your next cleaning? Mail, phone, or email?"
I ignore numbers I dont recognize, but some love the personal interest. I think what works for one person might not work for another.
