I want to remove the heat exchanger and see if I can descale it, the previous owner just had the heat exchanger bypassed because it wasn't working. There is also a broken male fitting stuck inside a female portion of 1 of the connections for clean water. But the 4 bolts that hold it to the recovery tank just keep spinning in place. Which doesn't seem good as they would be leak points. On the inside there is just a rubber fitting and no nut. What's up with this thing?
