And one to two hour dry dry times are achievable with hwe with decent equipment and technique. Even some areas dry to the touch when you leave.

Not if you mix them well and rinse out your machine periodically. I usually run a acidic neutralizer through my machines once a week.
Ive been thinking this guy is trying to keep the thread going. Maybe a Mikey plant.

Well let's settle this once and for all,bring your little carpet sweeper thingie over and out clean my homemade carpet "soaker" and walk away with bragging rites and 100 oz of silver (that's over $5,100.00 today) standing offer till i get tired of the dirty carpet at the shop and finally breakdown and clean it. i think you know, and you know that i know, you won't even be able to come close to out cleaning me but should you by chance do even as well you'll leave with half the silver. Ill go a step farther and offer cash equivalent if cash is more appealing. Im not just on this forum offering lip service . You keep preaching and preaching, i say back it up, show us all that vlm is the best thing since color tv! Or please stop trying to change our minds! Because we already know what's best in most, if not all situations

No one said your opinion isn’t allowed here. You showed up guns blazing, stirring the pot, took the first shots at HWE guys, and now you’re trying to play the victim because people pushed back. That’s not “being silenced,” that’s just disagreement.
You’re the one who dragged in the Conservative vs Liberal nonsense. Nobody else made this political. But since you went there, you exaggerated HWE as, flooding carpets like it’s the 90s, got called out, and now you’re crying foul. That tells me plenty about where you stand.
Your VLM picture doesn’t prove what you think it proves. Sure, there’s a visible difference. But is it actually clean? No. I can vacuum a hammered room and have the homeowner walk in and say, “Wow, it looks amazing!” and I have to tell them, “We’ve only vacuumed, we haven’t even started HWE yet.” By your standard, that’s done, because it looks better and the customer doesn’t know any different. Just collect the check and move on, right?
Like I’ve said repeatedly, I’m not anti VLM. We use it. It’s a tool. It has its place. It’s just not the magic answer to everything, and it doesn’t replace proper cleaning.
The carpet in your pic is disgusting. I’d hate to think there’s a baby crawling around on that, VLM clean, but I’m guessing that doesn’t bother you much as long as you didn’t have to buy a truckmount and the profit margin looks pretty.
Honestly, you’d be perfect for upsells. At the end of the job you can tell your residential customers,
“By the way, we’ve been trying to reach you about your car’s extended warranty.”
And for commercial,
“Hey, we are also with the voice activation department, and we'd like to talk to you about your Google listing.”
And when you toss those filthy bonnets into the washing machine tonight, really think about why you clean them that way, and why your customers carpet doesn’t get the same courtesy. Glad you make your customers the exception to the rule.

Why don't you grow up? People are often multi-method people. We understand the difference between VLM and hwe more than you'll ever know. I VLM'd a 22 story building today. Tomorrow I get to hwe a trashed apartment. One is not necessarily always better than the other. You use the right tool for the right job. This is not a VLM only board so maybe you should tone it down a bit or get lost.

Agitation, and prodigious control of trigger, not wide open triggering.
Takes much longer sure, but I can control how much H2O , AND, benefit fron agitation.
Using maybe less H2O on trashed units Then would be necessary a wand.
If hooked to a porty I can lay down and extremely heavy.Mix of preconditioner through the RV , solution only, no vac, only where needed. Before extracting
Almost as good as at 175 with a tank.
