Dryer vent hack

It's "cool" for a Facebook and YouTube short videos. Every house and setup is different but with that said 90% of the dryer ducts in our area have a box recessed into the wall or a straight shot before the duct goes up and out to the roof.

Large worm drive gear clamps with thumb twist screws are golden as they go on and adjust better than the squeeze clamps. We carry some on each truck just in case as a time saver.

I don’t regret getting mine when we remodeled that part of our house last year

I have installed a bunch of them and this video is totally ridiculous. In this situation all he needed was basic 3 ' section of basic flex . That being said the magvent-dryervent.com is a life saver in some situations. The problem is the price is still very elevated so that limits the use .

Sure, 3” is all that’s needed to just connect it. But when people have only a laundry closet, instead of a room where the dryer is, it’s almost impossible to install it easily, or if the dryer needs to be pulled out for any reason, they might not need to remove the exhaust hose. And trying to reach over and behind to put it back on will put me in a bad mood real fast
