Never actually getting in your van should be the main focus(unless for specialty tools)..
Still have the submount available Mike.

Understood and that's the plan.
Don't want the customer climbing in to the van to spool the reel when they use all the hose. It has to be within arms reach. IMO
What exactly has to be in arms reach? I'm confused. . It's a powered reel hit the button for God's sake!

when I made mine I made sure that the vacuum reel was on the curb side and the smaller reels were on the street side..that way I could just move the lines over and shut the door on the street side and not have to worry about the wind or something blowing them open and having it hanging out in the street......
We have an air conditioning unit where the 3 tier shelf is located.
The hoses set up with the T-Bar in front of the vac reel seems to a good job at using the space.
We would have 2 compartments.
1. Between the machine and the work shelf
2. Between the 3 tier shelf and the reels.
So with that being said the hp/ garden hose reels won't work on the driver side.

I did not see any problem with it sitting in front of the vacuum reel...put that heavy duty push button switch for the vacuum reel and it works great. ..that is how I have mine and when I empty the reel....it is easy to lean over and hook the first hose back onto the reel.....puts everything curb side..

Pulling ALL of the hoses will happen like twice a year.. I'm good getting in there that much.. Shit happens sometimes, but day to day.. Not happening! 100' to 150' max day to day. Looks like his reel by looking at it will hold 100' of 2.5 and 100' of 2"(tight though)..

I will suggest 2.5 Greenie elbow off the top of that waste tank.. Ray has them! AWESOME! !

If we put the reels on the vertical brace, it would have to be in front of the vacuum reel. No good
We could put it on the drivers side but we would loose the 3 tier shelf.

It's already larger than 2.5 until the vac hose port which is 2.5

I am not taking on vertical brace...I am talking about the T stand in front of the vacuum reel.......like in the picture...I see nothing wrong that set up......

Jim,
Is it ready to start bolting down?
The delivery is scheduled for Monday.
This customer spends way to much time reading what's being posted on this board.

Good thing..it seems like it saved him from having to deal with a set up that he would of had problems with from the get go and turned it into hopefully a much user friendly one...

Poor Ray.
Having to do a BB live install for a celebrity, can be nerve racking.
You must be missing the days you had to deal with just one accented individual bdc at a time. :winky:

I thought the reel accessed from the side door would have allowed for much better use of space (yes access to service the machine would have been harder.) But everybody is different and likes things differently.

I think I work at my best under extreme conditions.
I know what you mean about access for service.
You never work on your machine.
You pay to have someone do it for you:biggrin:

Have you bought the new mansion, earned from servicing my machine, yet?

I am a freaking carpet cleaner, a glorified janitor if you will. Not a grease monkey.

Why would that be more effective than the 2.5 hose there already?

Since you are not carrying water would go to the left with John's style reel deal and to the right with the powered vac hose reel and push it as far back as you can.. In the pic John posted, you need to be in the van to get the hose on the reel right(or it will spool on the right side of that reel)..
No you can reach the reel. Well unless your 5' nothing. You attach the hose then stand there and push the button located on the left attached to the solution real. Easy Peasy you don't want to off set them wastes space. Floor space is extremely valuable. Why we raise the vacuum reels even it only 8-12" it gives you storage that is wasted above the reel.

We have never and I mean NEVER replaced a rokan switch that we installed. Not a single 1 in 14+ years. We have replaced dozens of foot pedals on the water ponds
