Nice, but looks like the garage floor was almost made for it already?

Like Nate said- LOL.

Not sure how you are extracting now or what your drying issues are but I would do a careful needs and OI analysis before dropping that kind of coin.

Also read Rug Chick"s thread to get some other options and thoughts.

Thanks...

as much as i'd love a new toy just not enough volume to justify it.

but, it would be cool to have a centrifuge in the garage.

oh well, maybe next year thathurts

With as many people getting sucked into big expenses to set up shops way before they are ready - that whole "if I build it, they will come" myth - you can probably hang out and get some second hand this year.

You can get a DriEaz Rover or Phoenix Xtreme Xtractor for under $4k.

I'm just shocked at the $60K+ price point... heck, in AZ that could buy you a house. =)

I bought 2 1500 sq ft houses in Suburban Detroit for way less than that each, including repairs to make them rentable.

Whats the leaf blower for? Drying?

Brent,

think i was testing the leaf blower for dusting... didnt' work out very well..

got a better technique now using a few airmovers, turning the rugs upside down, and getting that "wave action" going. it sure knocks a ton of dust out of the rugs!

Got some video of it around here somewhere. if i can figure out how to post a video. my mikeyboard permissions don't seem to let me.

If you use a metal crate flooring to put the rugs on, flip them over and use a vacuum cleaner with a beater bar. The vibration will help remove the dry soil.
