I've have been using Odyssey since 2020

I use it for small residential homes

CRB to scrub and Odyssey to extract
Is it easy to use, I'm 62 and just had my 2nd knee replacement and wanted the easiest machine that will still do a good job? will the driver bristles bend if you let the machines weight sit on them for extended periods? I read your earlier posts (helped me make my decision) that you like "Vacaway Double Trouble" I like Vacaway Encap Green, do you think Double Trouble is better? and i'm going to use mostly microfiber pads cause I don't have a washing machine to keep cotton bonnets clean, are the microfiber or microfiber with scrub strips better with the Odyssey and do fiber pads last or just get chewed up? Sorry, I know that's a lot of Questions,,

VacAway Double Trouble is much better than Encap Green. I only use Encap Green at 4-5 oz 7.5 ph on light soiled residential carpet and area rugs

Double Trouble 9.5 ph I use on medium to heavy soil. It's the best for cleaning polyester. I love Double Trouble. I use it at 2 oz for most jobs. Trashed carpet 3 oz

For Rat Nasties I use VacAway Commercial Magic 12 ph. I don't use it very often but glad I have it when I need it

Adding VacAway Detonator (Peroxide) helps with coffee stains pet stains and brightening

You need to run Odyssey on cement driveway or sidewalk for about 10 minutes to flatten driver bristles before you use it

No driver bristles won't flatten if Odyssey sits on them

Fiber pads will wear out. They get thinner the more you use them. They shouldn't tear up with Odyssey but I never used a fiber pad with Odyssey. I always use a CRB

Fiber pads will scrub better than the microfiber

Use fiber pad first to scrub and then microfiber to extract

Red fiber pad or beige fiber pad. Don't use anything too aggressive on residential carpet

Yes Odyssey is very easy to use and easy going up and down stairs

Before you go into customers house make sure you practice on your carpet

It does have some vibration so you need to be careful around walls shelves and tables

Some bonnets grab carpet more than others and can cause more vibration

Make sure you use a good sprayer and put down enough solution to clean and lubricate fibers. Not enough solution can cause bonnet to grab carpet and cause more vibration

I don't like 10'' CRB's because they are too light to scrub with and too slow but for Area Rugs and to groom carpet after cleaning they work perfectly

I used 10'' CRB to scrub and groom and light blue Microfiber Bonnet with Odyssey to extract on that Area Rug

I have an Odyssey and it works ok. It's nice for small jobs. Mine really hops depending on the bonnet I'm using, and it cleans really slow compared to my other units. It's a good 2nd machine to have, but if it's going to be your primary unit I would urge you to get either a larger TOPS machine, or even a 17" 175.
