I had a wool rug the other day covered in human poop. I was so mad when they delivered it. Instead of folding the rug in on itself then rolling it up, they just rolled it up, causing the poop to be rolled onto the backing also. Made extra work for me. On the phone they said nothing about poop, only said they wanted to bring over some rugs they wanted cleaned. UGH, shame on me for not asking more

I have to admit its not easy to anticipate that a rug had been used as a potty patch or diaper. I remember (not so fondly) picking up an area rug when I worked in our cleaning company, and as I hoisted it onto my shoulder, I felt urine run down my back.
So its not a new problem.
How about this as a prequalifing statement?
"Mrs Jones, we're delighted that you chose us to clean your rug. In anticipation of picking it up (or you delivering it), please be sure to pick up any feces that your pet, your inebriated or medicated child or spouse, or incontinent parent, might have deposited on the rug prior to pick up or delivery. We often find that the pressure exerted when high quality rugs like yours are rolled creates pressure that forces the fecal matter deeply within the yarns and foundation of your rug. Once the waste material finds its way into your valued rug's structure, the time and materials need to remove it will necessitate a higher charge."
