Looks like an Ikey Special to me, A recerculating carpet wand made to work with the Kleenrite recerulating upholstery/drapery double boiler cleaning machine

I would say early Steamatic franchise wand.

They had a vacuum head design that looked almost the same.

Recirculating valve design to keep the water hot at the jets.

Low to medium pressure design (hose clamps).

It looks like a flow restrictor orifice on the return line.

I would name it "The Wand-inator"

Or "Wandenstien"

Either one works for me. ;)

With the jets that close to the carpet it was way ahead of its time. I wonder if the head is that worn or if they were always that close?

Steamatic. I've got a similar one, which came with a Steamatic machine I purchased this spring from a guy who retired a few years ago. Mine has a cone about a foot of the floor where the jets are installed. It weighs a ton!
I'll never use it,but may bring it to trade shows to demonstrate how the industry has changed.
I have no idea how anyone would last a day behind that behemoth. That along with the world's heaviest and akwardest hoses to pull would scare off most of the football team from part-time employment. ChuckleChuckle,SnickerSnicker.
