What, if anything, are you doing for preventative maintenance in your plant/shop to help prevent moths from becoming an issue?

When suspected moth damaged or infested rugs come in we quarantine them using poly bags.

A few times a month I will spray the SLA Reefer moth spray around where we store the dirty rugs and the clean rugs.

What are you doing?

I clean my rugs immediately. Don't let them sit around. That is one reason people have problems.

Infested rugs get bagged and treated with a pesticide immediately. Periodic cleaning under shelving and equipment to make sure we pick up wool lint that settles in undisturbed areas. Customer rugs go back to them ASAP. Patching material and anything that's going to hang around gets treated with Repel.
