He is offering to forward customers to you who call on his number.

Rather than buying a list with a subjective valuation, offer him a flat rate for each referral rather than a percentage of work done. Up to you to make the final sale. Alot of extra book keeping bs with a percentage rate. Flat rate is easy for both of you to track and build trust.

Service Magic charges $20? for each referral, and then sells it to 2 other companies. A warmed up referral is worth $20, and over time you will own his customers. 750 referrals and he has his $15,000.

Always look on the Brightside of life.

Put yourself in the guy who's selling it's shoes.
What does he think it's worth?
If you couldn't clean anymore, whats a $5000.00 a year job worth? 12 hours. Referred "Yes PM he's your guy now, they do great work." Whats that worth?
How about a referral to a client you have who started a company whose product EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU USE EVERYDAY.
Nice respectful people who would listen to your advise 100%.
What about clients you've worked for since 1994?
What is that worth? If all you guys are half as good as you say you are isn't that worth something, your service should be able to keep these new clients for ever. Cause in the end your POS
TM, Van and fancy wand is worth pennies on the dollar.
