Sea to table is the best for me. Monkfish is my favorite.

The last remaining is about 16 miles away
(but truth is, I don't know if they still use Cod like in the '70s)

Pretty sure some of the bigger franchise fish and chips main supply is Dogfish and Skatewings. So grateful to be cleaning carpets and not fish anymore. 7500 lbs here, day trip. This is very recent.

Caught a 25 lb skate once fishing from a pier. About 30 years ago. They are fished out here now.
They are still around, I know the doggies are and Im not sure it the skates are as thick, and its fishing, so some seasons are better than others. Glad im out.

We still have dogfish around here. There is no commercial fishery for them here. They can be a nuisance when trolling for salmon. The Chinese like them here. I have a Chinese friend who keeps them. No idea how he cooks them

Spiny or smooth, they are a great source of protein, if need be lol. There is some vids I saw a while ago how they process. They use most of the fish with not much waste. Its looks like a place not to work at.

The fish and chips truck is back in town TODAY.

I resisted the grease and came home to a can of Costco Tuna(the best) on top of baby kale leaves, toms and some tahini
