Im asked alot about type of flooring i see most often and type i would reccomend. My first reply is always followed by a short laugh.Carpet , as i need to eat.
Then , knowing carpet isnt as popular as in the past i inform them how their carpets are the largest filter and if properly maintained reduce indoor polutants considerably.
And if they do use a differant type of flooring they should use carpet in the bedrooms for cleaner air as you sleep.

Plus shows you can talk the talk.

I've got ceramic tile in the high traffic areas and in the kitchen, dining room, bath and laundry room.

The tile is cold, noisy and hard on your feet and you see the dust bunnies if you don't sweep regularly.

That dust is kicked up in the air instead of being filtered by the carpet, you filter it as you breathe!

The floor is healthier, but I'm sure you're breathing elevated levels of allergens that that carpet once filtered.
