I see people washing their cars in their driveways .. allowing alot of sudsy detergent to flow down the driveway towards the sewer drain..

I wonder .. if our cleaning detergents are better for the environment than car wash detergent , or lawn care professionals spraying pesticides .. pressure washing houses, decks sidewalks etc.. we should be able to pump out on to the lawn ..

seems like hauling extra weight (wastewater) , burning extra fuel, exhausting extra polluting fumes in the air ( may effect the ozone), would do worse damage to the environment than to simply pump out on to the lawn

Pull into the carwash and drain while you rinse your van? Then take the wifes car up later and use that same stinky recycled water to wash her car.

FYI, I now dump at the carwash or in my sewer washout at my house. Have a 210 tank so it's not a huge issue.
