What is your process for removing candle wax?

I use a Namco Steamer to heat up and soften up and loosen the wax. Then use a drill brush or scraper to scrap wax off carpet

Never a problem getting wax off carpet but sometimes the red stain from red wax can be a problem

Need to use red stain remover for that but sometimes still very difficult to get the red out


I also have a Wagner Wall Paper Steamer, that can be used on wax or red stains, but it never gets out of my basement


Only problem with Namco Steamer is they don't last. They usually stop working after 2-3 years and yes I use distilled water in them

I use Dry Volatile Solvent if there isn't a lot of wax

Thick glob of wax or a lot of wax you need heat

Scrape the blob regardless of size. Bone scraper. Dry volatile on a towel and go to town. Catholics go crazy with wax!

Obviously you haven't run a cimex. I wouldn't run in residential, so it probably wouldn't be beneficial for you. It is the king of agitation!

I have, I've never owned one. { it was very efficient]
50% of commercial it would work well.

The 175 will not break down.

you can use it in tight areas

you can use it in open areas.

use it in homes

you can carry it

Plus, i'm a pad man [commercial or house-- Pads all the way!]

No need for that with a cimex. Don't get me wrong, I've stripped
thousands of ft with a 175, 13, 15, 17, 20 inches. Tanks and no tanks.
I've used em to scrub carpet with the brush. It is versatile for sure. I couldn't be without one, or two.

You can't beat the cost$$$

And that you can take 175 and use it anywhere and everywhere.

And by chance if it breaks down,

You can run to Home Depot and rent one for next to nothing.

It's time to come out of the VLM Closet



No HWE with TM or Portable

100% VLM with 175 or OP

I switched to the VLM Method in 2019 after 25 years of HWE

And it was one of the BEST decisions I have ever made !!!

I'm doing VLM exclusively for 2 weeks now and probably another month while Prochem&Van is being rebuilt.

For the maintained homes where I know it was flushed(by myself) it's an easy pad/padcap.

However for commercial I'm using a hybrid system by pretreating with enzymes/citrus/changing out pads/applying 2-3 acid rinse padded, then finish with extraction via electric machine(Mytee)

You don't have to be an absolute to one cleaning discipline as you can fit hwe, VLM, porty all in one standard size TM van.

I've had good referrals as flushing urine out for those customers who use VLM franchise. I'm actually really looking forward to my refreshed/new to me setup TM. Also with my new HX's, 350psi 3 Flow, and 45 blower I've always had 90minute dry times...
I've also had fun on 500' hose runs with the 2.5"/100' performance hack upgrade.
