I always left plastic booties with the customers. When I was at Jon Don last spring I picked up enough for the year but somehow got the fabric ones. I think I prefer the plastic better because it would keep the customers feet/socks dry where the fabric ones let the moisture through.

Yes get some extra large plastic ones to use as head covers in rainy weather. Plus, you can look like the soup nazi

I don’t use booties anymore. I tell people to put on socks if they’re going to walk on the carpet. I used to use the fabric ones when I did use them. One less cost for me.

I have a lot of them in different sizes and colors for men women and children that I give out

The cheap one size fits all usually in 100 or 50 packs SUCK

I think the point might be building relationships more than the actual use of the booties. Everybody knows most customers probably throw them onto the kitchen counter for the maid to throw away later.

I use plastic shoe covers to protect my shoes from overspray and the filth in the carpet.
I use shoe covers, protect the flooring, and place corners guards when working vacant properties as well. These steps take only a few minutes of my time, but are integral part of earning trust and building the long- lasting business relationships, no doubt .

In my experience, the rubber band breaks in cold temperatures, but it holds fine in the summer. Size 15 is hard to accommodate, that's for sure.

Yes they last a long time. They are reusable and washable

I have X Large Large Medium in various colors and Small for children

Sometimes I will ask but usually I only give them out if people ask for them

I did the same thing...ordered the fabric (non skid) booties vs. the plastic. They sux!! Tried em' for a bit since I had so damn many, but hated them, and got my plastic ones. Here's the thing...no ones removing ALL of the soil...so if they're wearing the fabric ones (or as one guy said above, tells custys socks) NO WAY, even a small amount of dirt (or mildly brown moisture) adheres to fabric covers (or socks) the customers perception could be that you did a shitty job. If I didn't have plastic booties to leave em', I'd tell them to stay off of the carpet for several hours. To me, booties left behind are a must and the fabric ones are a total waste of money for what we need.

I had a customer go on and on about wearing booties. I put them on for the job to please him and thought that booties must have a big impact on professional image. I even gave the customer a few pairs to wear until the carpet was dry. I struggled with them for a few years, then as my business grew to have more unattended jobs like commercial and rentals. There was no one to impress, so I dialed back. After cleaning out the van, the booties did not go back in, and I have never gotten a complaint since. If someone looks at my feet and I think that they may be looking for booties, I educate them that the bottoms of my shoes are the cleanest shoe bottoms in Idaho, as I clean my way out of the house.

I ran across the booties the other day and thought that I might put a few into the vehicle in case I get a concerned customer.

Since 99% of customer are going to walk on the wet carpet in their white socks, perhaps I should leave a few pairs of plastic booties for them so they do not conclude that I did a poor job!

You should be buying those covers at a ski shop! They are made for use in cold weather!

I agree. The only time I wear booties is if I have to enter the house and walk on my freshly cleaned carpet. I usually get the homeowner to meet me at the front door for payment. I advise the customer that they can walk on the carpet right away in bare feet or clean indoor shoes with synthetic soles. No leather soles as they will track off on a wet carpet.
