Is starting a carpet cleaning business easier in Canada than America due to less competition?

As a Canadian I have always admired the entrepreneurial spirit of Americans (most Americans at least).

It seems that it may be a little easier to start a carpet cleaning business in Canada due to less competition as Canadians are not as ambitious as Americans.

However.......Canada does get a lots of ambitious immigrants.

However.....I will be starting my business in the Canadian province of Quebec (french speaking) which gets less immigrants than other parts of Canada.

Overall I would say it will be a little easier in Canada.

I know he had a little wake up call. He eventually found his way to the other forum and found out what some of the guys were commenting about his methods.

We have as many carpet cleaners as the US per capita. You can't worry about the competition.

There may or may not be less competition than in the States but the carpet is currently getting cleaned by someone. Just because you open for business doesn't man that people will flock to the new guy. You will need to give your prospective customers a valid reason to change up from what they are currently doing. Price, perceived quality, scheduling convenience, etc.
