Mine is like that. I bought it from A/T. Huge reduction in sound, and easy to install.

I needs to get me a new silencer for my 2004 V, that's the main reason I am not using it right now, it's just to dag gone loud! The busiest part of the season is about to kick in and I will be running the V and let the lead tech run the Everest 650 hp

I thought Mikey posted Aerotech was going out of business. You know the inside source he always talks about. Is the inside source Chad?

Gauge inside the panel - ask me at the Experience show and i shall tell!!!

Chemical jugs - this show truck does not have our "Auto fill" option. We have a short open ended solution hose that can plug in at the low temp header (right above the regulator) to fill both jugs. Our "Auto Fill" option would have stainless steel braided hose going into the bottom of the jugs and connected to a control valve on the low temp header. All you would need is to have the water pump on, open the valve and your adding water.

Silencer - we moved the discharge to the side to reduce the noise. The blower exhaust discharging straight to the ground would give an "Echoing" effect adding to the noise.

Transmissions - starting in 2011 with the Isuzu chassis, in PTO mode the torque converter is locked. This allows us to run the engine at 1450 rpm's instead of 1650 rpm's and still spinning the blower at 2000 rpm's because we are not having to compensate for the slippage that was occurring. This doesn't mean the models before 2011 had problems because the torque converter wasn't locked, this means the transmission on the Isuzu's run cooler. The Isuzu comes standard with a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty. For a little extra cash you can bump that up to a 5 year 150,000 mile warranty. Adding a PTO doesn't void the manufactures warranty. PTO's have been around for ever. If they are problems for the transmission's the manufactures would decline warranty on the trans the minute it was bolted up..... not cover them for the extended warranty if purchased of 150,000 miles.

here is a list of other commercial vehicles that use PTO's:

  • Running a water pump on a fire engine or water truck
  • Running a truck mounted hot water extraction machine for carpet cleaning (driving vacuum blower and high-pressure solution pumps)
  • Powering a blower system used to move dry materials such as cement
  • Raising a dump truck bed
  • Operating the mechanical arm on a bucket truck used by electrical maintenance personnel or Cable TV maintenance crews
  • Operating a winch on a tow truck
  • Operating the compactor on a garbage truck
  • Operating a Hiab/Grapple truck

now can you imagine how many vehicles there are out their that have PTO's!!!!

Well whoever buys it hopefully they dont hang here. We dont need another Big Truck Trainwreck. You know you HAVE to clean carpets with a big truck or your a Hack. Then two years down the road they are buying a rig off craigslist cleaning with a 36 Blower. LOL.

Here is the front face of the control panel.

ProductionPictures035copy_zps2efe4524.jpg

we have installed the vacuum hose reel, solution hose reels, dual pressure regulator, etc.
ProductionPictures046copy_zps7eae8122.jpg

here is the electric motor / gear reducer that drives our vacuum hose reel. The hose reel can be manually turned either direction or powered by a push of a button. As you can see, this is a direct connect without any sprockets and chains.
ProductionPictures047copy_zps49422b9c.jpg

2 solution hose reels come STD. on each truck. They are fully stainless steel and hold 400' each of 1/4 solution line. We bolt them to an extrusion that allows them to be adjustable side to side.
ProductionPictures042copy_zps1e84c056.jpg

here you can see the drum spins on bearings. This makes it much easier to roll up and unroll with less resistance. The grey plastic piece can be tightened to the shaft if one prefers more resistance.

It seems like any transmission w/PTO could be forced to lockup the torque converter with a simple switch to ground the solenoid during PTO operation.
If im losing RPMS, burning more fuel than I have to on the V, im going to look in to this!

More Pictures!

The recovery tank drain has been fully completed. 2" drain pipe plumbed under floor.
ProductionPictures045copy_zps59713003.jpg

Here is the main Hi Temp / Hi Pressure header. The small chrome handled ball valve and the stainless hose going through the floor is our new pressure bleeder valves. This allows you to relieve the pressure in the hose without having to pull the trigger on the wand. The third ball valve without a quick connect supplies water to the dual pressure regulator.
ProductionPictures044copy_zpsb7d82250.jpg

Here is the dual pressure regulator.
ProductionPictures041copy_zps8880427e.jpg

all electrical wires are inside the box, ran inside the conduit you see in this picture.
ProductionPictures058copy_zps75a26004.jpg

another good look at the legs on the fresh water tank. NOTE: bolts, screws, and nuts are either stainless steel, or PTFE coated like the blue bolts used to mount the fresh water tank.

So Jeremy, I see countless (super impressive) tweaks/improvements over my 2004 Vortex.

What percentage of these design changes came from ideas of end users? Vlad? Ted? De'ette? yourself or ..?

5" suction line (rated to 29" of vacuum) has been attached to the recovery tank. High water level switch installed and wired.
ProductionPictures055copy_zpsc38c8f47.jpg

Air mover shelving (holds 4 air movers), Chemical / misc. side wall shelving unit (48" wide) fully adjustable up and down. Exhaust exchanger installed, plumbed, and insulated.
ProductionPictures051copy_zpse95745f7.jpg

Racking system installed. We will later attach different brackets and straps to mount cleaning tools.
ProductionPictures052copy_zpsb8ac35f5.jpg

Here is a look down the drivers side isle way. The white tank with black lid is the brine tank for the water softener. Holds 40 lbs of pellet salt.
ProductionPictures057copy_zpsf54cd42c.jpg

2.5" vacuum hose from recovery tank to the vacuum inlets (compared to 2" from tank to inlets on vortex and early model AT's). This has tremendously increased vacuum. With engine rpm's at max, both vacuum inlets open, we only have a restriction on the blower of 1.5" of vacuum.
ProductionPictures053copy_zps75f96249.jpg

anyone who owns a vortex, or an early model AT that performs this test will find themselves running around 4"-6" of vacuum with both inlets open and all filters clean.
