It really depends tho on the cut: accross grain or with the grain . If it polished to high shine i would see it more, it would have more compressed uniformed look for limestone. Travertine is a younger stone and less conpressed.


Normally i would ask the client first. Not that i ever polished it before.. i learn this in geology class from mineral analysis...i think i have a book somewhere...
