I know I should ask more questions,
But back in Lancaster CA,
I got a call from the The mayors person to clean for them in the home some upholstery.
I didn't know w who was calling at the time.
They asked how much to clean 2 chairs and a sofa?
Well we all have phone estimate we give.
Turns out it was two silk chairs and a 12 foot down filled custom cotton couch.
You would think having a nicer home and nicer things would cause you to make sure who.ever your calling was qualified?
And that representing your needs would be clearer!
But sometimes Rich people are shady too.
Today a Malibu job called didn't now where they were or the setup.
Just how much for a chair????
After setting up the appointment for the minimum to go out.
I asked is there anything specific you need it cleaned for?
Yes a small blood spot.
The personal assistant already worked on it, but they didn't mention that on the phone either.
The condo is beach front and very high end!
I didn't want to run my hoses through the house nor would they let me.
I don't have a portable so I attempted to lighten up the water stain left by their efforts.
I shouldn't have ever touched it.
If they were to have it delivered to my shop and I cleaned it here it would be a $250 minimum.
But that's why I need to ask more questions and also get pictures of the scope of the job.
You would think the first thing would be this is very expensive and has these problems!
Not how much?
