Nobody will admit to not vacuuming

But vacuums miss a lot

Whatever the vacuum misses a CRB gets

And I CRB twice on every job

I vacuum, then scrub with a CRB, and groom with a CRB

There is nothing left in that carpet when I'm done

Except for some moisture that will dry in 1-2 hours

I love CRB's !!!

If you do not pre-vacuum?

Can you explain to us why?

Thank You!
I'm thinking about buying another vacuum

Just what I need another vacuum

Oxy-Dry and Paul both like the Hoover Hushtone

I buy a lot of stuff they recommend and they're usually right

I won't buy new I will buy used off ebay

I love the art and intimacy of pre vacuuming, it lets me form a relationship with the floor and dig deep into the carpets history, learning about all its owners unique characteristics and sins as I study the real soil, soul and sole wear patterns, and not just casts of light and the homeowners recent footprints..

Once you get it wet all that valuable "stuff" gets hidden and suppressed...

Steve,

After you vacuum?

A red pad pulls out stuck hair

better than anything I know of ?
Even a CRB ?

Any other solution, Sherlock??????????
So vacuuming only gets the easy stuff?

Sounds like a waste of time then.

Do you use the same vacuum job to job?

Maybe my customers are just too picky.

My wand digs out hair and mud just fine. It flushes out urine too without spreading it around room to room or job to job.
And I dont have to spend an hour a day tearing it apart and cleaning it.

Dont get me wrong I do vacuum some jobs just not every job. I spend that extra time scrubbing with the wand.
Ive noticed it does as good as the crb on most jobs too. There are exceptions though.
Detergents usually make the most difference.
My wand vacuum is powered by a 6.0 liter gm engine not a cord.it can lock down and pull carpet off the floor. In fact sometimes I do that to get airflow to help dry it.
Add 200 degree water at 5 or 600 psi for agitation and not much is left behind.

If you are not spending 15 plus minutes per small room vacuuming you are wasting your time. It would add an hour to average jobs easily. For what? Impressions?
Bragging rights?

Ive used red pads plenty to scrub in the past. Now I just use the right product.
That loaded red pad is causing fiber damage. All the sand and grit just grinding away at the soft fiber. And again cross contamination if you dont throw it away after every job.
Imagine all the poo and pee soaked into it that you never saw.
I have restaurants that I use to have to scrub to get clean. Not anymore.

So to answer your Sherlock question get a good truckmount and wand and find the right product.
