A horse hair brush isn't going to cut it for this project. I'm thinking some of those brush attachments for a drill. 87165

Works a damn sight better than these hacks scrub 'n run sCampooing upl with angle grinder and bonnets...that's for sure

Nick, IF it's indestructible fabric like most office/com, theater and restaurant upl, nuke it with firewater you use for carpet and scrub with any roto tool you can velcro a white VCT pad on..or even more aggressive than white pad

now the obligatory caution

"always test in an inconspicuous area first "

The chair looks like it was ‘attempted ‘ to be cleaned by someone. It doesn’t need some fancy-schmancy 2000 dollar machine. It needs a good quality uph cleaner, boosted with a little ammonia if need be, scrub it with a bonnet mit, followed by a good rinse acid side, speed dry.....

BTW, when you are putting you’re cleaner on, avoid the buttons as much as possible, they may be metal, and might rust. Not only that, the top left one is almost ready to come off...

But there’s an advent dinner tonight, a wedding reception tomorrow, 5 coffee donut sessions Sunday, and a funeral reception at noon Monday. We prolly
need to scampoo and run.

Hand Bonnet & Brush for more agitation.
Go North South--East West...not circular.
Rinse SS Tool. Use clean white towel and vigirously
Dry the piece. Carefully get into the crevasse and then
wipe down the legs for any over spray.
Sell them FP if results are excellent.

The owner actually has cleaned it before with Dawn dish soap. :dejection:

I see the chair now
if poly fabric, it might clean up better than you think

that's food stuff on there, not body oils.
Let me raise an indignant eyebrow from upl gurus and suggest you hammer it with a heavy hitting enzyme carpet pre-spray like Chemspec Enzall

If it doesn't clean up, tell 'em to get some of these

it'll go better with the rough cut BARN FLOOR look that's under the chair

You can do kitchen rugs and doormats. Buff Leather Furniture. Scrub Stairs. Polish the leading edge on airplane wings. If you wanna cheap out get a magic eraser

Nothing that the right chemistry, a little extra dwell time and agitation with a horse hair (or mitt) wouldn't be able to tackle. It ain't a thick carpet.

If you had twenty of these the tool will save some time.
