I got a call from a lady who wants to know if we give free estimates. She also wants to know if we have something to treat two small areas of the carpet that has mold on the back.
We agree to come out and take a look when we're in that neighborhood, which was this afternoon...

The house.

The carpet, that turns out was cleaned 3 days ago and was still wet.

The "small" area of mold..

The entire house was in this condition and worse. Carpet had to be the original in all but one room. 30 years old to be sure. A new batch of collage kids just moved in and were already getting sick from the stench. Every inch of this place was demolished, walls, shower stalls, toilets, ceilings, stair rails you name it.

The land lord wanted us to give our opinion on what needed to be done. After looking it over and talking to the kids, I called her and read her the riot act. All she was concerned with with was whether or not I told the kids about what I found.

I told her it was my duty as a human to suggest that they get the hell out of there asap.

She hung up.

According to the neighbor, the idiot kids would all urinate out the windows every morning and the new kid spent the day removing vomit from the bath room walls.Lots of it.


An the bitch had the nerve to collect a $1000 cleaning deposit.

And the carpet is the least of the problems. It looks like the wall in the corner has been repaired (and not a very good job at that). The entire wall cavity is probably loaded with mold.
