Has a customer ever accused you of (unjustly)stealing?
Has a customer ever accused you of (unjustly)harassment?
Dealing with the public and coming into such a wide range of personalities, it may sometimes be difficult to be so accommodating and calm.
And, I would guess that most of these types of customers never call you back for a future clean either. So, when or if this has ever happened to you, would you just forget about them (delete from file) , or continue to service them if asked?
What brought this subject up was the other evening I was standing in line (waiting to purchase some automobile tires)right behind a woman who was complaining to the manager. She wanted her tires serviced under warranty. The manager behind the counter insisted that she did not purchase the tire(s) from his establishment and further was not registered in their customer list and required (Costco)membership. He stated that they did not work on any other brand tires other than the ones the Store sold, period.
Well, this Lady went on and on in a very disgusting manner however, the Manager handled it very well and stayed calm. (In fact I complimented him after she left the premises). Again, "dealing with the public can be difficult at times".
So, it happens in any industry; not just ours.
