It has nothing to do with common sense. It is about the mechanics and science involved on how to clean carpet.

Do ya wash yur car before ya buff it, or you jus scrub all that dirt in?

Steam Cleaners such as your self are old school thinkers and just are not capable of comprehending the mechanics and science of cleaning. Your opinions on how carpet cleaning is done with different methods is based on ignorance and arrogance.

Five years of foam cleaning and now OP'ing makes you an expert now?

In 26 years I've had more truckmounts than I can count, portables, Cimexs, two different OP machines, two CRBS, many 175s, used or own every rotary extractor, dozens of vacuum cleaners, every absorbent and non absorbent pad known to man, every pixie juice and traffic lane cleaner and rinse except for Steve Smiths newest and greatest which seam to come out every other month to keep you goobers confused and YOU mister two tool wonder are going to challenge ME?

I'd also bet I'll clean more carpet in the next six months than you've done in your 5 years.

Until you go spend a week with a real cleaner who owns ALL the tools and see what being a PROFESSIONAL is all about, quit blowing your John G huckster bullshit theory around here cause quite frankly you come off as such an idiot I'm about ready donate you to the Cleaners HQ.

Fortunately we have discarded much of what we thought we "knew" in our 1st few years. We have hope that you can too.

LOL Lee I have always found that learning from my mistakes is invaluable. Knowing what not to do is just as important as knowing what to do. Their is a saying actually I think I made it up. It is ok to make every mistake once but when you start repeating the same mistake over and over again then you are in trouble. Unlike Mikey I do not claim to be all knowing. I learn new stuff all the time, it is what keeps life exiting.

Mardie, you've had an OP for a few months, and this 1834 technology foam machine. Do you have any idea how goofy you sound?

I think we should all pitch in some $ so that Mardie can go spend 2 days on the truck with Mikey ;)

or maybe one job a day over the course of a week so that what he see's will sink in ....:dejection::dejection:

Dustin the only problem with that is I would have to wait around another week so I could show Mikey all the wick back that he caused with his 12 flow LOL

Mardie it honours me that you have such confidence. I must readily admit though I'm sure I'd come off second best. The equipment wouldn't be time competitive.

Remember too that the schooling analogy is kid of true too. Mikey is doing post graduate studies, I just stopped shitting my pants and can write my name with half the letters backwards - but only with a crayon.

Mardie is real? :eekk:

All this time I thought someone was goofing on me.

I must apologies Mardie, I never knew you were real.

I mean really, we don't see many here in the US...that for lack of a better word... are "ignorant" to cleaning reality. In the future I will dummy down my responses to you, please, please, let me now if drawings would help.

You might also consider doing a little studying on the issue. www.carpetcleaninghelpfordummies.net

Mardie is in no man's land. Don't judge him till you've been there.

  • He's real but he ain't.
  • You read his posts and you think that he must be kidding you. But he ain't.
  • If he wasn't for real, somebody would have had to invent him. But they didn't.

Though, chances are that he may be Waldo generated? :winky:

i just want to know how to get customers to pay me to spend an hour cleaning one room...

you all talk about being the best and doing the best job but honestly, i think i do a pretty good job for what i charge. i could probably do better on almost every job but then i wouldnt be making enough to stay in business. its about making money to me and staying in business and ill use what ever tools i have to accomplish that.

on some jobs i scrub and run and others i scrub flush and treat or treat flush and scrub and flush some more. it all depends on what the customer is willing to pay for and what it takes to get the job done profitably. not "always" what it takes to get it done the best.
