I got a call inquiring about price for cleaning 3 rms .

I wasn't too far from the guy, so i told him I'd stop by and give him a price.

Nice home, well maintained carpets, easy set up, small rooms and little furniture to move.

since this is a new custy that got my number from the phone book,
(and we're busy as he11)
I figured I push the price envelope a little and be like Mike/Rampage/Hicks/Lipoid and all the ICS cleaners

The dude didn't bat an eye and said,

"OK, when can you do it"?

Damn, that was just too easy.

I should of asked for $19 a room instead of $15.99

Hey I charge $ 25. a room and I cut corners! that's why Lisa calls me a hack! But the first room is $ 65 and than $25 extra areas

Wasn't Jeff Bishop on national T V telling people $40.00 per room YEARS AGO ?
I started in this industry 30 years ago with a portable and we were charging 20.00 per room then ... how can anyone survive on those low prices today?

but i just dropped $2500 bones on new furniture tonight.

i couldn't talk Joni into the Big Lots furniture.
NOOOOOO...she had to have the GOOD stuff for HER living room

got to get carpet now, before the furniture comes.
For some reason, i can't talk her into the tan 25oz cut pile we stick in the rehabs either

I might have to step out of my comfort zone and raise prices to $22 pr rm.
Maybe by this time next year I'll be at $25 a rm
