According to my cousin Cheyenne, my uncle Clint who started manufacturing serva steam portable machines, sold two housing to George Lucas and he used them to make a droid in the first Star wars movie.

The housing was changed a little after the awhile, but was the original camel back design.

I've never watched a whole Star Wars film. I've seen bits and pieces, but never start to finish. One of these days I'll sit down and watch them and I'll keep my eye out for some portys.

Same.....unless you count the Ewok movie

some of my earliest memories though are of watching the R2D2 projection in the original at the drive in before falling asleep....

The Empire Strikes Back is the 1st movie I recall enjoying at the theatre (James Bond "Jaws" scared the crap out of me) I strutted around our backyard as Darth Vader for several weeks until Dad took my Death Star apart
