are there any major manufactures or enterprising outfits doing R&D on lectromounts?

I don't mean trying to put hi-perf lectrofan vacs in the truck

But along the lines of how industrial and recreation equipment can effectively/efficiently replace gas engines (forklifts and golf carts come to mind)

are batteries just too heavy and/or expensive to fit in a van to drive elect motor big enough for blower 'n pump??

Yeah, mining plants is one. Doubt they use batteries, but giant generators to drive powerful electric motor to run the pumps and blowers.

Geothermal plants, Casinos, etc have em..

I guess the efficiency and feasibility is better the larger it gets, but TM size is hard.

Maybe Tesla designs could work since some of the cars GVWR is about 7klbs. It could powerful enough run a blower and pump since the torque needed would be lower than what would be needed for driving the car..

Didn't hydramaster have a sort of electroSUX that ran off a very large alternator under the hood?

Such a small market for anyone to invest time and money to develop.

I get that, D
Locomotives are electric driven powered by diesel generators.
There's absolutely no doubt lector motors are available to power any task

The problem is what it takes to power them
I have thousands of hours on forklifts and industrial equipment when I worked at the car plant
Both gas and battery...I know that battery powered stuff can be every bit the equal or better in many applications of such

I'm thinking it must be a cost and/or weight thing for no battery power'd TM development

Better off driving to charge the batteries utilizing the all 4 wheels like tesla does

But that's counter productive if you have to run the VAN engine to power lectric motor

..L.T.A.

It more of a way to use the newer van with out voiding warranties!

And it’s running a 4.8 blower 3000 rpm.

You could just put in a slide in, but I’m guessing the push a button start crowd prefer it!

Cobb was putting something together but that’s like something that never materialized.

with the range that the Tesla has, you could probably run a tm all day. Except for the heat, that will take a lot more amperage.
just use little giant with propane in conjunction with it. No need to waste amps for heat.

yeah, to maintain 60 mph on tesla car, you need about 17k watts per hour. I figure that to deal with weight issues, LG 3 HT could be used instead and allow all the energy to drive the EM for blower and pump.

If you're going to use a Lg, might as well use a 4 and be really bad azz.

that makes more sense to me now
the direct drive "push button" fanbouys

how big a generator do they need to shoehorn under the hood for a motor that will drive a big #4 blower @ 3000 rpm?

drive through car washes are all electric. Are those big fan motors that blow off the water on a car big enough to turn a blower?

pee-esss

electric motors powerful enough aren't the problem
as mentioned, electric motors are what drive freight train locomotive wheels and mass transit rail
and more powerful than that used in industrial applications

it's getting enough power to run them in a practical manner on TMs

Just for comparison sake. 18,000 watts is enough to run 10 3 stage vac motors but they choose to power a positive displacement blower instead. For all you etm theorists.
