I started Mikey’s Board back in 2006.
That was before the iPhone. Before the feed took over. Before the world got so loud.
Back then, our online circles were tight. If we argued, it was about Truckmounts vs. Portables. We fought about heat exchangers and flow rates. We were competitors, sure, but we were all on the same map.
Then came the Drift.
It wasn't a targeted attack on our industry; it was just the nature of the modern internet.
Slowly, the "Town Square" got paved over with billboards.
The Feed filled up with strangers.
The technical discussions got buried under funny videos and AI-generated junk.
The brotherhood got drowned out by political memes and endless advertisements.
We didn't lose our way because we stopped caring. We lost our way because we can't hear each other over the noise anymore. The platforms that used to connect us are now just designed to distract us.
We need a quiet room.
The industry is facing real challenges—supplier consolidation, labor shortages, and a changing market. We can’t navigate that if we are doom-scrolling through a feed filled with rage-bait and cat videos.
We need to circle the wagons.
We need a place that filters out the distractions so we can get back to the craft that feeds our families. We need to support the innovators and leverage the big suppliers without getting lost in the algorithm.
That is why The Cleaning Standard (launching January 2026) will have a strict, zero-tolerance No Politics policy.
I don’t care about your ballot. I care about your business.
The rest of the internet is designed to steal your attention.
The Cleaning Standard is designed to sharpen your skills.
Let’s check the noise at the door and get back to work.
The only "Red vs. Blue" we care about is on a litmus strip.
Now go to church or your bowling league and be among your people on the last Sunday of a very memorable year...
