I have a job coming up this friday that includes a small tile area and some vinyl.
No wax ,just cleaning. I actually have not seen the home but I didn't want to lose this job.So I told the customer I could do the vinyl and the tile also. It's not a big house. 1800 sqft.
Now I don't have a 360, just a wand and a hydroforce and a broom style scrubber with some pads. I figure a house that size should be doable with what I got, right?
I have not cleaned tiles before. So I have a few questions like What to prespray with, what the max pressure might be when I extract and I was planning on ectracting with Liquid CBS.
Can you guys give me some basic tips?
Thanks

You have a teflon glide on that wand I hope..

Sweep. mop (do not "pre spray" on your high Ph carpet prespray ( something with enzymes or a strong surfactant) with some O2 added (powder or liquid) and scrub the grout lines real good. Home Depot sells a killer Grout brush you screw on a poll for about $5.

Scrub the tiles if they have a texture to them.

Are you positive the tiles are not natural stone? (You can't take the lady's word for it if she has to think about it or ask somebody. YOU, the professional FLOOR cleaner needs to know.

Rinse with your wand at 800 to 1000 psi and DO NOT USE A RINSE.

If she has MDF baseboards keep the solution/rinse from puddling next to them. They will swell and you may be replacing.

Is some grouted areas don't look all that great, apply a much more concentrated 02 solution to the area and scrub and rinse again. If they still look bad, make an excuse and take a class asap. Do not mess around with acids on your first tile job.

blow or towel dry.

Seal the grout.

Good luck!!

Thanks for your help, Mikey.
Yes I do have a teflon glide. I was going to prespray with Attack which is an Enzyme prespray with surfactants. Are you saying I should just mop in on instead of prespraying or that I should not use this product at all for tile? This may be a dumb question but what is 02? I tried a search but "02"shows no matches.I was going to rinse with a 3.5 ph rinse Groom Solutions Refreshsoft. So I won't use that , just water.
The client is actually a guy who just sold his house and is just following the purchasing agreement where he committed to clean all the floors.

02 as in hydrogen peroxide. Good ol'Oxy Clean from Costco works great.

Mop rather than spray so you don't soak walls and woodwork

Who makes the Attack? Cross American

Attack is made by Masterblend. My local supplier carries a lot of stuff and gives me samples for everything. I really like Masterblend. Also, when I have a product question it is always easy to get someone on the phone who can help.
I'll get out to costco and home depot tomorrow to get myself set up.
Thanks again!
