So we used our Seal-A-Door for the first time. This thing is sweet! Light, easy to setup, and really does a good job sealing off the cold air and elements. This customer originally hired us because we didn't have a TM but used a portable instead. This was our first time cleaning for her since we upgraded to the TM. She was impressed. I'll probably use this thing a lot more as we get into colder and colder weather. Thank you Mike!!!

My daughter is living with me for a bit now.

She has a thing about "bugs" too.

I can't leave centipedes loose in my home anymore (they kill off every invertebrate in your house). She just can't accept their presence in the home.

Are your neighbors talking about you on FB and Nextdoor?

Not much. I just ask for Google Reviews and keep everyone's email for occasional email campaigns. How do you stimulate discussion on Nextdoor and Facebook? Paid campaigns? Sending invite requests?

You both should be contributing/participating to the neighborhood groups on both.

Talk bout subject not related to your business, give lots of helpful advice, bring up your biz once in a while to promote community give back events, free demos of new services etc

Good call Mike! Ill talk to Rushelle about it and we'll make that part of our morning or evening routine. I was on Nextdoor briefly last year and was surprised how many local folks are on there, and how much consistent activity there is.

To me that feels like hiring MS13 to scare some homeless people off my porch. While the use of centipedes is really clever I have to say I'm with your daughter on that one Jim. We're not seeing the cost vs benefit analysis the same way... šŸ˜„

Clean any churches?
Im 2 days into a 3 day project at a seventh day Adventist hardest part was doing under the pews. I bought a long handle stairtool thinking it would help. But it wouldn't go all the way. I ended up on my knees with my regular stairtool instead. Cleaning the upholstered pews was hard on the back too but there was 28 of um @ 30.00 each averaged 6 per hour used all 3 of my drag wands to rinse n dry . The 12" got between the pews perfect. This is the first job i used my recently acquired 24" drag wand . It made quick work rinsing n drying wide open spaces and halls

you need a regular wand for pews. Mike's 2 jet wand is very friendly for those tight spots. Are you going to get every square inch corner? no. But it does a good job and saves you time for specific types like this

You do half going one way the other half coming back. It's actually
pretty easy. It's easier than trying to strip finish under them. I use the same technique though.

A regular wand would work, but is alot of money to spend for just this job. I dont use a traditional wand for cleaning. All carpets are first cleaned and dried with an rx20, then rinsed and dried using a drag wand. I thought 150.00 for a long handle stair attachment was about as much as i was willing to invest in this project. I have a pile of old steamgeni scrub wands that I've inherited over the years. I think next time ill take one of them to a muffler shop and custom bend it for this specific task. Had i have spent any time thinking about it i would have done it this time.

Wut! Cleaning upholstered pews with regular carpet cleaning wands? Do you go back over with an upholstery tool for the corners and such?

Between the pews i can get in with an rx20 to clean and 12" drag wand to rinse its under the pews that's the problem.

There's no need for an rx20 to be in that area. The soiling is never bad. A 12" wand will do just fine and take you half the time to do. I clean dozens of churches and efficiency is key. I know you're stuck in your way of doing things, but just consider it.
