Okay, I didn't have any rust stains on the carpet, but I did have them in our fiberglass shower/tub. In fact they are from the can of Barbasol hubby keeps in there. I tried applying the Barbasol to the rust stain, let it set about 5-10 minutes, then rinsed and wiped (no scrubbing), the stain remained. :( I can remove those rust stains with a little shower cleaner and a scrungee pad, but was hoping the Barbasol would do it.

Maybe I'll make some rust stains on the carpet to try....

Take care,
Lisa

Take that can back to the store . . .

and tell them how poorly it performed on the rust stains in your shower.

:icon_rolleyes:

Larry

P.S. Ron ; you do need your money back on the "rust remover" that was beat by the Barbasol.

What I wonder, is how they come up with those ideas? How does it happen?

So, I have a rust stain on my carpet, I already tried the balsamic vinegar (didn't work).........The dog pissed on it (no good)............slathered with barbecue sauce(didn't work either)............
Well'........I guess I'll try some Barbasol shaving cream.

No wonder MSG works wonders!

Rust is from iron, not brass or copper. I have a rust stain in my living room from a flood(dont ask lol) that I can try it on. There are plenty of good rust removers that dont require the acid and neutralizers

T-Rust works on rust (iron oxide) as well as stains from oxides from aluminum (often seen around a sliding door), copper and other metals. No neutralizer required.
