Roadside billboards?

Does anyone use roadside billboards to advertise? Do you think they pay off in the long run?

We are looking at purchasing 2 @ $750.00 per month but I have never seen this done in our area for carpet cleaning.

As cool as billboards look, I always figure they are using your ego to take sway you into the decision.

We have a large billboard on our property (They toss a few rental pennies our way, very few.) with a long term land lease.

I notice when they change the billboard, not only from the paper they scrape off on to my trucks, but because it's a NEW commercial.

I see it for a day or two and then it blends into the wall paper and I don't even notice. I couldn't tell you what's on it now, yet the thing is HUGE.

I'm not saying it's a waste of money, but for $750.00 a month you might look at other avenues that could have a greater return.
