I've went thru janitorial kolledge when I worked for a large school district years ago.

But Richard there is one thing I'd never do and that is become a "Honey Dipper" like Mr. Foster!

or if you go back and forth...make 1 or 2 more runs around the outside to suck up said puddles...or rather make your last 2 or 3 passes full around court passes...

propane on wood finish???? hummmm

oh and its cali....I think they outlawed propane indoors....

Some water base gym floor finishes are made to be buffed with white pads. I would rather do that then leave puddles on the floor until you got back around to picking them up.

The BBig day has come and gone.

They are taking horrible care of this new building. We had to dust mop the floor and apply Goo Gone to the wads of gum, rubber shoe marks and dried ice cream. The whole joint was in need of a deep cleaning, stands concrete offices and janitorial closet were all a mess.
It's a Green Building so the polyurethane on the court is water based which leads to lots of wear and tear, especially for a court that has only seen one season and a few kids camps.

Took us about 3 hours with plenty of pre spotting, farting around, talking and such. If they take my bid for future cleanings (hopefully once a month) and do their part in keeping the whole place more tidy, I'm sure we can get it down to two hours or a hair less.

A HUGE thanks to Ray from CMS who graciously gave his time, new equipment, chems, mops and sweat to help me land this job. The floor came out nice and clean and the players and management there were thrilled.

and it only cost me a root beer and a chop salad.

It was fun. After we were done I got to drive around in stop and go traffic parking 2 or 3 times looking for the Burger bar. Then we had Salad!! I had a Sprite not a Root Beer.
