Just signed up with QuickBooks Credit Card Processing.

They are waiving the sign up fee of $59 and the monthly fee of $19.95 for three months. Special Ends 02/28/09.

No contracts, no commitment, can cancel anytime.

The rates are as follows:

Cardswipe rate: 1.64%

If keyed in via PC: 2.44%

Plus a .23 cent authorization fee per transaction.

The USB card reader costs $89 w/ no ongoing fee.

I've been thinking about switching to Quickbooks credit card processing for a while. The free offer was a no brainer for me.

Does anyone have a processing rate lower than 1.64% ?

check with your local bank. I only pay 10 per month with my bank plus percent of transaction. We don't get a whole lot of credit cards but have been getting a few more each month.
