I shared this story years ago on another board, but it happened again just recently, so I thought I'd post here.
We were cleaning a rag the other day.
I grabbed the wand and started cleaning the worst area
(cause no matter how hard I try to contain my sOOper sized ego, I still think NO ONE is better than ME)
as I'm pulling the wand I exclaim,
"IM THE BEST CC'ER THAT EVER LIVED!!"
Cody says, in his quiet, calm , but matter fact, hood rat G-unit dialect,
(Cody was raised on the mean streets of the Projects and thrived in that environment )
anyway, he says,
"bullsh1t, I am"
That just tickles the sheet out of me, cause he means it.
but more important to me is that he genuinely CARES about the quality of his work and wants to be the best!
That extends to everything he does.
Whether installing a floor, hanging a door, or scrubbing a toilet....the young man doesn't halfazz anything and is loath to not doing things right/100%
