Has anybody had a problem uploading your database to the JonDon newsletter website? It seems extremely tempermental. I have to go through my list and remove names until I get the upload to complete. Are there some tricks i need to know?

Does it has something to do with "Business Name" in the "first", "last" field? Or, could be an incomplete address in one record? Any tips at all would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ps. I spent several hours yesterday trying to figure out the problem with no luck. I would hate to go through this every month. I export my contact list from Quickbooks Pro 2008 to .csv. Bty, Header Row is in perfect order.

When exporting from Quickbooks to .CSV make certain no client records contain a misplaced comma (comma after "City" is okay). One misplaced comma in a client record could cause the Jon Don Newsletter Import to fail.

If you have a problem pinpointing the record with a misplaced comma try this:

1. Open Quickbooks and export client list to .CSV file
2. Highlight all records using Excel and past them into notepad.
3. Save notepad as .CSV (Select "all files" and name with .csv extension)
4. Using Excel browse, open and inspect the .csv file you just created.

Using this procedure any record with a misplaced comma will stand out like a sore thumb. Go back into Quickbooks, and correct the record.
