.8% of pathogens left in the average bacterial population in a washing machine vs .8% of pathogens left in the average bacterial population in a ripe recovery tank is likely quite a difference.

That .8% left in the washing machine would probably be safe to drink

The .8% remaining in the recovery tank would likely kill you from the smell before you could drink it
