I hate tiles

What I hate about tile cleaning is having to scrub the grout lines with a hand brush. I mean the tapered brushes on a pole. I did one tonight where the tiles are 4 inches by 12 inches. Even on a small 10 x 15 area, that's a lot of scrubbing. I've tried crb's and 175's but can't seem to get into the deep grout lines. I turned down a job from a neighboring restaurant tonight because it just seemed like too much work. What works on grout lines besides a tapered brush. By the way, I love my old beat up turbo hybrid.

I've looked at that and it's seems like a great tool but I don't think it would be suitable for large jobs.

we color/refresh/seal most jobs with turbo-seal now... at $1.50 sf CAD and $1.50 to clean it first...

I've tried a couple of crb's but they don't get into the grout lines deep enough. I have a orbot sprayborg and am thinking of ordering their tile brush.

make sure you order their splash guard as well, you'll get a 2' splash up the walls if you over wet...

What I like about their brush is that it is tapered. They suggest that it gets deeper into the grout lines. I think it's worthwhile to try it out. I am turning down a lot of tile jobs just because I am already busy and they seem like a lot of work. If I can simplify it, I don't mind taking on some.

I dont do a lot of commercial tile but on restaurants I just use my single jet grout wand 1st then use the spinner no scrubbing

Like upholstery tile jobs take waaay too much time, but if one can mechanize it woohoo... we are definitely loving Mark Markovich's Turbo-Seal products... game changer.

My wife attached a small tile brush to a reciprocating saw and cleaned the grout in our kitchen.
It worked great. You gotta love that woman.

I’ve wanted to get a mini square scrub (Doodle Bug I think), and try that....

full size are too unwieldy, heavy and stroke too long for detail work
so I won't mention them and stick to compacts

for corded compacts, the Rigid is a solid "contractor grade" tool
(Rigid has stepped up their game in the last 10 years, and some of their tools are now "fo-reel" contractor grade)

Matt and I are really good at cleaning tile with pole tile brushes

Customers love the results and it’s good money... I actually pay him double time when we do it

We both hate it ... We’d rather clean carpet any day and all day
