You live in New York dude. Don't confuse the indifference of your neighbor hood with the rest of the country. About 2 years ago a local cleaner was killed in a car accident. I got so many phone calls that day making sure it wasn't me I almost broke down into tears my self (and I am not the mushy type). This was the one day I didn't dare let voice mail pick up.

Of course people will not stop cleaning their carpet if we die. They will certainly move on. But I like to think I have made some positive impacts along the way.

we have a few that cook us breakfast on a Saturday morning

have a few that give us a hug when we get to their house and want to know what has happened in the last year

have a few that say, "I don't know what I would do without you"

I know at least of a couple that would show up at a funeral

I have had a few that have tried a cheaper service and have returned

I guess I am not really sure on some of them
