From another thread it was stated that 2" hose can only move 275cfm max.

IF newer wands like Tom's 1.5 have more "suck" than his 2" as some have stated. Does this potentially change what could be classed a dual wand machine?

1.5 hose has 33% less diameter, all things being equal (they're not always) around 184cfm ×2 is all you'd need to dual?

Not counting system restrictions hx,glides etc just what a blower supposedly moves?

actually not just Toms wand, any 1.5 wand as there are plenty out there and what the 1.5" flows should be the limiting factor

My lil 36 no hx burning dinosaur bones, pulls 2" of mercury full throttle no hose attached (its restricted by 2" port) attach 100ft of hose its around 5" on gauge, attach 14" glided wand nearly 6" on gauge. So even though its almost the smallest kid in class its restricted...

Why?

because a 36, 45 and 47 blower will never be a dual wand blower
(unless you consider dual 2 stage vac porty as being a powerhouse )

Yeah wouldnt put 36 in as a powerhouse, although mine feels (purely subjective) like it has more than a boxxer 423.
But a 47 on paper looks like it should easily move enough if running 1.5 whips?

all my TMs were 45 an 47

wonder if the Boxer was running slower RPM or or leaky hoses/cuffs or HG set low to not blow couplers prematurely like I "hear" (but don't know) Boxers do

Yeah not sure what rpm the 423 runs, my (out o fashion independant build ) 20/36 gets run full throttle so 3200rpm maybe under load? at 200ft it feels like a porty, until you plug the porty in and wonder if the switches are working?? But def no powerhouse obviously considering whats out there

to dual wand you need enough cfm for two wands and lots of lift. most tm 's are run slow and dont reach their potential except on paper. with two wands going there is usually enough cfm to keep the relief vac valve from opening if is set to 14 or 15".

most tm's are restricted by engine exhaust size (to get more heat) and blower silencer size (to make things smaller). open these up and run the engine at higher rpms and you have a good chance to dual wand. the waste tank connection to blower should be the same as the blower size intake. a 36 and 45 are 2.5" a 47 is 3" a 56 and 59 are 4"

a 36 tm should be run with 2.5" hose to conserve lift. you will get better results if 150 foot hose run is 100 ft. of 2.5" hose and 50 ft. of 2" hose.

a good dual wand machine will give you 400 cfm at 15" Hg. you can use 2.5" hose on both wands with 2" whips. the pump would need to put out 3 gallons per minute for good flow. a crb scrub would make things go better and faster also.

Ya I think water pressure is the bigger problem!

My 405 if I ran two lines one cleaning one pre spraying you could feel a dip in water pressure!

The 570 or pro1200 with the general pump doesn’t drop off at all!
