Starting with my upholstery tool hose. I’m fed up with the POS. It keeps unraveling/tearing.

The crap is expensive. I’m tired of replacing it because it should last as long as my other vacuum hoses. What have you done to prevent this from happening?

This thread is not gonna about just the vacuum hose. It’s gonna entail everything that guys like Dwain have don’t because the manufacturers are too cheap or lazy to deliver us good products.

I don't know what upholstery tool you have, im using the prochem stainless tool. First thing i did was increase the vacuum hose from 1¼ to 1½ by dismantling the 1¼swivel cuff and connecting the tool sideto the hose side of an 1½swivel cuff. When the internal solution line broke i replased it with a ⅛" stainless braided teflon hose i also built a internal continuous bypass to keep the solution super hot. Also a fact worth noting, all my vacuum hoses are custom made and are of high quality by Amflex Plastics in oceanside California. The same quality hose from that manufacturer can be purchased from wanders and several other distributors. Amflex is the best.i have hoses still in use that i had made in the early 90"s

Is that hose the proflex tm or LT? Or is it a different style amflex?

And have you ever tried using their 1.25” hose?

And is it the poly welded, vinyl, or plain cut?

I’m seeing those 3 options.

At wanders the hose is his "lil better" hose there's also a youtube video tour of the manufacturer amflex i do have and use their 1¼ vacuum hose my last order was a custom color all lime green(no black inner outside ring) for Frankenstein i bought 3-100' 2", 4-75' 2", 1-100' 1½" & 1-100' 1¼" i bought so much only because it was a custom run and their minimum run for custom color is 500' so i ordered twice as much than i needed so as to have spares. Frankensteins main hose reel carries 250' 75 two 50's and a 75. Every once and a while i burn a 75 on my tailpipe and cut it down to eighter a 50 or assorted smaller hoses used thru out the machine and take a new one off the shelf as far as what exact style or part# of hose i have, i don't know off hand but i have a few boxes of it at the shop and in the morning im more than happy to snap a picture of the label and post it for ya

I think i got a piece of 1½ and maybe a piece of 1¼ in my old color i could send you to try. Keep in mind it's pushing 30 years old now but still has alot of life left in it. If i have a piece big enough you're welcome to it. As long as you reimburse me for the shipping. the picture below is the color. I had 35 or so feet of it in 1¼ like brand new, but i let it go with my duct cleaning equipment when i got outa that service . Going thru my pictures to send to you i see that i do have at least 20 or so feet of 1½ i have it on my spare van plumbed to the hoser

Here's a picture of the label off my last hose order. It is Amflex Pro-flex hose . Without digging too deep ive come up with a 6½' piece of 1¼ hose i have laying around
