hi fred,
give anthony a call over at allied in the am. he might have some suggestions for you as he has quite a bit of experience in the tile area. Try buffing it out with some neutral cleaner.

Probably nothing left to buff. Any type of acrylic coating will wear off. Put some high gloss sealer on it from aquamix. Tape off the grout lines so you don't get it in there. Should work good enough to look at it from standing up.

You could have just called me, but nooooooooooooOOOOOOOoo..

You have two options: try to polish it out, or something topical that will enhance shine. The EASIEST thing to do would be (first tell owner that you had to get really aggressive removing the stain and etched it) to build it up with a polyurethane or poly enhanced finish that will minimize the appearance. You would need to paint it on with an small artists brush. Other than polishing, that will probably be the closeset you can come to matching the glaze.. Got any pics to share? That would help. I promise not to laugh at you.
