Apparently me but I don't recall the conversation but it was probably the same one that gave him when he wanted to become a professional trash truck, driver and concierge

Concierge?

Hell, I don’t even know what that word means!

Is that the same as an escort? Eh

I’ll look up the definition later.

Just bought my 4th dehu and have more to come. I try to buy one piece of drying equipment after each WD job. The poor man's way to build the WD side of the rug sucking business.

.
Good for you. That’s the way I did it. I noticed drying equipment has really gone up in price. Which dehumidifier did you get?

It’s my first crawlspace style dehu.

I'd be very careful with them off brand Chinese equipment.. I bought 2 BLUDRY air movers for $100 each.. The rectifier in both of them burned.. They later had a recall on them, but tossed them already..

Nothing worse than using to dry a flood only to cause a fire.. I used mine to dry rugs.. I said no more to "trying" the off brands..

got a friend who had an old sahara start a fire, I've got a drypod with a rumbling bearing I only use while Im onsite

mechanical things wear out, but I agree I'd stick with name brands, you know there has been some quality control

I've already been using 2 off name brand dehumidifiers for a while now, and they've been holding up fine. I'll take the risk. i remember seeing legend make that comment a few months back and it sounded like the same tacky way to market your product by putting down the competitor. Terrible excuse for them to say "this is why our shit costs twice as much", even though a bunch of our components from other machines come from china also. Brings back old memories of chemdry dogging HWE to push their "dry cleaning" buffing.

And they are probably made in China

some for sure, if not all the components are made there.
But as Dan rightly pointed out, it depends what the custy spec'd

love 'em, hate 'em or happy to have a Samsooey Apple Eye-Droid for a hundred bukz

they're not a bunch of dumb slopes.
They're a modern industrial giant capable of making top quality or cheap crap to order

I’m not saying blue or red is better, but they have a better track record than the cheaper inferior brands.. Hell, even in B-Air’s manuals stated not to be left running unattended.. At least it stated that years ago.. Like who turns off equipment when on a flood other than being too noisy to sleep?!

With-in 10-15 days a rental, the unit pays for itself.. I’m all for things being cheaper, but you can’t cheap out on quality..

I know you’ll do you Smatty boy..! I’m just trying to give you a heads up.. Also check up on your insurance while performing WDR.. It’s all $$$ signs when it good, but cover your ass!
