Early Spring Marketing?

When will business pickup? Here in SoCal I am hearing mid March, but that is too far for us. But what can we do? We sent out 1k brochures last week and received no calls. It is soo slow...

We dont have any previous clients to market to. Is anyone pulling in new business during the winter months? Does it just not pay to market right now?

This is a good time to get out and establish relationships with people who can refer you work. I know alot of people don't like apartments or rentals but there are some good accounts out there. We have one account that pays us $225-360 per unit. Nice big places but I'm sure someone would be willing to do it cheaper. We got the account because I earned the property manager's trust by taking care of a problem that her "usual" guy wouldn't touch.

Go see some retailers, property managers, realtors (if your market hasn't crashed yet, LOL) or even churches. You should see some immediate work but don't plan on it making you rich.
