We have an attached 2 car garage that is insulated. I have an electric heater in there but just barely keeping up. It is reading 40 degrees in there so I should be okay. Little relief tomorrow. I need a better setup, this is nerve racking. Thankful my fam is safe and warm and out of this crazy wind. I hope Waldo got his box inside somewhere...

Hey Russ,
If youre setting the heater on the garage floor, youre gonna struggle to keep it warm in such a big area (Im guessing 400sf) .. you should put the heater in the van with the van door closed .. if you need an extension cord, use the proper gauge and go direct to the wall socket .. I always had a 12 but I think you can get away with 14 depending on the length
Before warehousing, I had an insulated 2 car garage - I put the heater inside and only turned it on low when the outside temps dropped below 10 degrees - and it was pretty toasty in the truck (60-70 degrees) .. I set the heater on the floor by the back door next to the hose reel ..
P.S. anyone using propane heaters inside the van have to leave the door ajar or window open for air circulation .. be safe and go electric
