It's rediculously cold and windy here. News said this is the coldest it's been in central IA in decades. I can't even imagine what it's like in Saiger's world right now.

Its cold....LOL!

Be safe my friend.

I am seriously going to clean something tomorrow if it gets colder than it was of -35 below the other day just to say "I did it again"!

Currently -26 degrees at 9:30 pm and it has been dropping 2 degrees every 20 minutes.

Should be a fun night and day tomorrow!

Inside heated shop (Fuel oil furnace) with BACKUP electric 220 volt permanently wired baseboard back up heaters, backup generators, alarm systems....

They better not freeze or there is a lot in the shop that is going down too!

We have an attached 2 car garage that is insulated. I have an electric heater in there but just barely keeping up. It is reading 40 degrees in there so I should be okay. Little relief tomorrow. I need a better setup, this is nerve racking. Thankful my fam is safe and warm and out of this crazy wind. I hope Waldo got his box inside somewhere...

My mom lives in Vero Beach, FL and is always trying to recruit me and the fam to come live there. It has never sounded better.

-12 in central Il. Today's jobs moved to tomorrow. I'm not taking my trucks out in this. How do you keep equipment in back of truck from freezing in this weather? Who's going out today in below 0 weather?

We are running 4-Cimex's at a commercial job, moved the HWE areas and T&G to tomorrow.

We're doing one water loss with a Flood King, too cold to risk a unit for extracting.

Its supposed to be 41 tomorrow, it will feel like summer compared to this shit!

Tonight is going to be a mess, unfortunately we ran out of encap over the weekend.

Might have to bust out the portable :numfi:.

For this freaky cold. The problem is usually not cleaning. I'm more worried about cold coming up from the floor on the way to the job.

So where are all of the global warming enthusiasts now?
This has been the coldest stretch of cold weather here since the 1970's - last night was minus 54 and minus 34 without the wind factor.
A little Iowa or Kansas weather would be a very pleasant change for my neighborhood.

Out east, in Newfoundland, the poor sods have just had 3 feet of snow and have no electric power.

-15 on the way to work this AM but its warming up.....it's -8 now.

A couple of water calls already.
You of all people know this Richard but keep the boys ready for later this afternoon. People will wake up to frozen pipes. go "Oh crap!" and head out to work. Then during the day the frozen (and split) pipes will thaw, start flooding and the home owner will walk in to Lake Erie after work. (It took me a few years to figger this out!)

Steve

PS In fact, Richard, you and Big Dan might wanna review my Water Damage "Triage" QuickTIP from a few weeks ago. If you can't possibly get to all your water losses you might as well pick the "sweet ones"!

Oh hell no, I'd cancel.

If it looks like shit and smells like shit...it's shit (using a porty). I'd wait for your encap juice.

HAHA!

This is a monthly account, mostly just salt residue right now. We will just run some acid rinse and put blowers down, be fine. Pay the price next service though!

The high for tomorrow is predicted to be 0. We have 45 or so jobs scheduled and should be able to get them all. That's after the 14 inches of snow some of us in the suburbs got yesterday.
