I swear the people who run it are idiots. It is like they do not listen to us the people that go to these events. How many people complain about it being held at the Hilton in Vegas. You would think they would move it our justify why it is being held in that dump but not a word. Now moving it from Florida to Dallas. Most people double up on these trips and use them as a vacation trip as well. That is why Florida and Vegas as so nice to go to.

The other thing about the connections that pisses me off is all the lazy people riding around on those dam segways.

Mikey if you play your cards right you will soon have the most popular and best trade show to see every year.

they are moving the Florida show not the Vegas show. Wasn't much gambling in Clearwater Beach except trying to cross the road at 2am after drinking all night.

If you think dallas is the arm pit of America, you need to educate yourself and travel a bit.

I don't know why they picked dallas but, have heard Florida was not working out with very low Attendance every year.

For those in the know- when they talk about attendance- are they looking at those who pay for the whole program or all who go even just to the trade show?

So what will the wives and kids be doing while dad sits in the "Watch Dusty get his shoes wet" class?

Take the 12 freeways/30.5 miles across the great plains to go to the Ross Perot Museum? or the 51.2 miles to the Stockyards of Ft Worth?

Well its only 22 mile to the Bass Pro.

it's a mere 127 miles up to Nick's BBQ if he times it right..

Looks like Cobbs place at only 27 miles away will be the biggest draw. Who knows, his carpet may even be dry by then..

Things to do in Frisco Tx :eekk:

I actually had another body part in mind but didn't want to offend sphincters in general.

Yeah, the armpit of the nation, that'll work.

LoL! That's hilarious. Ann Arbor... that's in Michigan isn't it?

Of the top 25 convention cities in the country, Dallas ranks 6th. San Antonio, Austin and Houston also in the top 25. No gambling or beaches here but still plenty to do. Lots of good nightlife and dining. The Sixth Floor Museum (JFK), Dallas World Aquarium, G W Bush Pesidential Library at SMU just opened. I hear it is awesome. Mesquite Rodeo is a blast, even for "non cowboys". Ride in a NASCAR at Texas Motor Speedway. Six Flags, Dallas Arts District and plenty more. Not to mention an abundance of places for the wife to spend money. Then there is Ft Worth...

A very wise man once told me, "You should not ask people where they are from. Because if they are from Texas, they are going to tell you anyway. And if they are not from Texas... why would you want to embarrass them?

The problem is all those activities take a lot of driving.

And Texas freeways are a nightmare.

Barry Costa's school opening in that area?

What school are you referring to for Barry Costa? We are having SFS in Dallas the week after The Experience. So might as well stay for awhile.

I've traveled quite a bit..actually a lot in TX....and I have to say it seems pretty accurate...................but good on ya for making a bit of mental lemonade

If it wasn't the closest place to get a 4x4 animal style I'd say just give the whole f'n state back to the Mexicans........

no it was supposed to be in Arizona but the economy crushed it. He is plenty busy with his schools (25 with Jon-Don alone) and he is very passionate about getting ICRA off the ground.

Dallas has some great restaurants and shopping, and people that say howdy on the street. Better than some places eh? Oilmen, Cattlemen, honey-blondes, pick-up trucks doing 80 in the slow lane. Be bold or stay home.

PS: It's not Connections. It doesn't have the support of the associations that started Connections.
It has to be better than the Connections Florida event though...
