Employment in carpet cleaning industry lost 5.4% for 12 month period ending October 2008 according to JobBait.com. This data also shows pretty slow growth of carpet cleaning services of only 2.3% since 1990.

That growth seems so low to me that I suspect many small one-man shop carpet cleaners, esp those that do not incorporate or report properly, are not included.

Interesting that the Janitorial industry has seen a 2.3% growth in 12 month period ending October 2008, and a 34.9 growth rate since 1990.

Here is link to report. Carpet Cleaning Services is number 794 on list, and Janitorial services is number 792.

Also of some interest...Marketing Consulting Services has grown 290% since 1990, and 8.7% during 12 month period ending October 2008.

I'm glad we are ahead of the pack. Our carpet cleaning division is up well over 300% during that timeframe and our rug cleaning division is over 450% up.

I dunno what our '90 numbers were but I'm sure they were more than 2.3%. What is that number based on, just total dollars spent?

That's what I meant too Ken, but I failed my High Skool typing class, we can't all come across as polished as you do...
